New Mac OS (Big Sur) incompatible with Pulse Secure VPN

Enterprise Technology & Services recommends that students, faculty and staff using Mac devices DO NOT upgrade to the latest Mac OS, Big Sur, as it is not compatible with Pulse Secure VPN.

Apple released Big Sur Nov. 12, 2020. Because it does not support Pulse Secure VPN, users who upgrade may have difficulty remotely accessing many academic and administrative applications, including those listed here: https://td.unh.edu/TDClient/60/Portal/Requests/ServiceDet?ID=188

We will provide additional information after Pulse Secure has released a fix.

Banner Finance/HR & WISE on Sun. 12/6

Banner Finance/HR (BPRD) and WISE Self-Service will be unavailable from 7:00AM to 12:00PM on Sunday, 12/6, for scheduled maintenance.

Password and Identity Systems on Sun. 12/13

On Sunday, 12/13, from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM, the following systems will be offline for system maintenance:

  • All USNH Password Self Service applications
  • CAMP & ID Lookup
  • UNH Parent Portal: no new accounts, no password or email changes Note: all other Parent Portal functionality will be unaffected
  • USNH, UNH, GSC Banner - USNH ID form validation

Wide area network & Internet Fiber Break Durham - Manchester

We are currently seeing our connectivity between Durham and Manchester offline. Services to Boston are currently down. Traffic has been re-routed through other providers at this time and all sites are currently still online.

Fiber break discovered near Manchester. Currently working with service providers to open a ticket and get a repair crew out.

update on service impact: Currently all IPv6 services to the internet are offline.

We will update with an ETA once we receive one from our providers.

    Fiber break was due to squirrel damage just outside Manchester.
